Dario Rock, a senior at St. Francis (SS), competing indoors at the MVP Vibe Fest in Chicago, placed third in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.11 seconds. That time improved upon his 8.22 winning effort at the CA Winter Championships in January.
You voted this elite hurdler as the MileSplitCA Boys Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the week ending February 19.
Rock received 61.96 percent of more than 6,000 votes in a statewide poll. Long Beach Wilson (SS) junior Isaac Lewis was second in the voting, receiving 35.81 percent of the vote.
