Chase emerged last spring as a state-caliber sprinter, running PRs of 10.61 (2.0) for 100 meters and 21.65 (1.1) for 200 meters. His 100m time ranks No. 1 in the class and his 200m time ranks No. 2. Statewide, his wind-legal 100m time ranks No. 9 overall in CA and his WL 200m time ranks No. 11.
Nationally, Farrell ranks No. 1 in the class with his WL 100m and No. 10 in the class with his WL 200m time.
Last spring, Farrell went undefeated in his first five 200m races, running his PR to win at the Ventura County Championships.
He won five of his first six races at the 100-meter distance, running his PR to win the Marmonte League title. He placed second at the Ventura County Championships (10.68w).
He placed third in the 100m at the CIF-Southern Section Division 4 Finals (10.80).
