Malachi made his mark late last season by winning the high jump competition at the CIF-Central Section Masters Meet with a 6-5 clearance to equal his PR.
Carrasco's returning high jump PR ranks No. 7 overall in CA and is tied for U.S. No. 9 within the 2024 class.
He's more than just a high jumper, with PRs of 41-5 in the triple jump, 19-3 in the long jump, and 18.00 in the 110-meter hurdles. He also runs cross country and dropped PRs for 5K, 3 miles, and 2 miles during the fall.
