Seth Johnson, a senior at Cajon (SS), won both the high jump (6-06) and 60-meter dash (7.15) and placed second in the 60-meter hurdles (8.46) at the Arcadia Winter Qualifier.
In recognition of his accomplishments, Johnson was voted as CA's Boys Track and Field Performer of the Week for the period ending Jan. 22, receiving 52.97 percent of nearly 9,000 votes in a statewide poll. Long Beach Poly (SS) senior Jaelen Knox was second with 45.95 percent of the vote.
Vote for this week's CA Boys Performer of the Week based on results for the week ending Jan. 29. Voting closes Friday at 9 p.m.
There were simply too many stellar performances at the CA Winter Championships, so this week we are putting 10 gold medal winners from that meet on the line and we will leave it up to you to select the most deserving athlete through your votes.
