In a prelude to his stunning 3:58.81 mile indoors at The Armory in New York over the weekend, Newbury Park senior Colin Sahlman prepared in what he called a "rustbuster" race outdoors under the lights at Eastmark HS in Mesa, Arizona.
There, with younger brother Aaron Sahlman setting a rapid early pace, Colin Sahlman ran 4:05.13 for the mile.
