Hannah Riggins, a junior at Del Norte (SD), in what she called her first serious race of the season, rolled to a win at the Dana Hills Invitational, winning the 3-mile challenge by five seconds over Peninsula junior Aishling Callanan in the marquee race.
In recognition of her accomplishment, Hannah was voted as CA's Girls Cross Country Performer of the Week for the week ending Sept. 25, receiving 44.30 percent of the vote in a statewide poll.
Ashlyn Boothby, a sophomore at Scotts Valley (CC), was second, receiving 25.99% of the vote.
