Boys CA Performer of the Week
Evan Noonan - Dana Hills HS (SS) - He was the fastest CA individual at Nike Cross Nationals after running a 15:32.70 and placing 5th in brutal weather conditions up in Portland. The senior from Dana Hills HS caps off his high school cross country career with All-American status at NXN. It's onto the oval in the spring for Noonan now.
Eyan Turk - Woodcrest Christian School (SS) - Eyan Turk placed 18th at Nike Cross Nationals and clocked a 15:45.20 to achieve All-American status. The University of Kentucky commit solidified his spot amongst one of the best in the nation with his performance at NXN.
Jacob Abraham - Cathedral Catholic (SDS) - The freshman from San Diego went MIA after mid-October, but he returned to the hills for one last race. Abraham clocked a 15:11.12 at the RunningLane Cross Country Championships in the Gold Race, placed 21st, and set a brand new P.R in the 5K. He's just a freshman so stay tuned for what he can do on the oval.
Girls CA Performer of the Week
Chiara Dailey - La Jolla HS (SDS) - Participated at the FootLocker West Regional and obtained a runner-up finish in the Championship Race. Dailey will be heading to her third FootLocker XC Nationals in as many years.
Summer Wilson - Irvine HS (SS) - Took a trip to Huntsville, Alabama for the RunningLane Cross Country Championships and placed 11th in the Gold Race. Wilson clocked a 17:34.73 which was the fastest California 5K time of the weekend across all National/Regional championships.
Sadie Engelhardt - Ventura HS (SS) - Engelhardt says goodbye to high school cross country with a 17:35.00 at Nike Cross Nationals. She finished 11th in the field thus claiming an All-American spot. The senior from Ventura HS now holds the #5 fastest time by a California female athlete at NXN.
