Here's the same analysis, but using historical high school marks from every US state. As you can see, the "quality over quantity" approach shows even more clearly here. Sommers has 3 of the top 6 marks in US history, but her overall number of performances on this list is much smaller than some of the other elite vaulters that came before her. If she chooses to continue competing through the summer, though, it's possible that she could wind up with 4 or 5 of the top 10 jumps in US high school history, which would be fitting for such a dominant performer.
