Westlake High senior Paige Sommers extended her national record in the pole vault to 14 feet 9 inches on Wednesday at the Marmonte League Finals held at Westlake HS. Sommers, who had moved atop the all-time national high school list with a 14-08.50 clearance at a Vaulter Magazine event on April 3, pushed the bar half an inch higher on Wednesday.
