4x100 Meter Relay

  • 2018 Champion: Gardena Serra (SS) | 45.69
  • Meet Record: 44.70 | Playa del Rey St. Bernard | 1997

The 46.58 run by the quartet at Scripps Ranch (SD) ranks No. 2 in the state and is the fastest among remaining teams. Calabasas, which had one of the fastest teams in the country, was disqualified early in the post-season for having runners in too many events during the two-stage league finals. With Calabasas out of the way, the event is there for the taking for the most efficient sub-47 team. While Scripps Ranch was that through qualifying, there are a handful of teams just a tick behind led by Long Beach Poly, fourth last year (46.71). This year, the Jackrabbits have gone 46.62 and 46.70 the last two weeks in the Southern Section. Buchanan went 46.73 in qulifying (CA No. 4) and Eastvale Roosevelt went 46.84 (CA No. 5) in chasing Poly at SS Masters. Riverside North with 46.96 (CA No. 6) for third at SS Masters. Sheldon, third last year, is among the few 2018 finalists to make it back, qualifying 17th (48.44). The other is Santa Margarita, seventh last year, qualified eighth here (47.43).
