The 5 Softest CA Boys State Records

110-High Hurdles

The one and only California runner in the Top 10 nationally is Upland's Joseph Anderson who scorched a 13.33-second time at the State Meet in 2017. That is No. 7.

It looks a little better when you compare Anderson's time to the National Federation leader, Chris Nellum's 13.30 in 1990. Shepard's book includes performances in national meets after the high school season, accounting for the 13.08 by Ohio's Wayne Davis at the Pan-Am Junior Games in 2009.

Right at No. 11 is the 13.36 run by Agoura's Johnathan Cabral in 2011. Now, using the 42-inch high hurdles, Union City Logan's Kevin Craddock is No. 1 after running 13.74 in 2004 over the college hurdles.
