Division 2 Highlights
Unlike many of the other boys' races, this one was extremely close individually, with Damian King holding off Austin Vasquez by less than a second to take the crown. The team championship was also hotly contested, as Whitney edged Rocklin by a score of 53-58. Bella Vista finished in third, out of range of the top two but comfortably in front of the competition for the final state meet berth.
The St. Francis girls placed their top 5 in the top 12 of this race, with Isabella Fauria taking the individual win in another show of her increasing fitness. That led to a low score of 27, easily outscoring second-place Whitney, with Rio Americano taking the third and final qualifying berth.
