In terms of the events we hold at our state meet, California is pretty limited: we only have 2 relays, and there is nothing outside of the traditional high school events. That's not necessarily the case everywhere, though - several states contest more relays than we do, and some even add individual events like the javelin throw, hammer throw, steeplechase, or race walk.
