Girls 400/800 meters
California senior Alyssa Brewer is the two-time defending champion in the 800 meters. She opened up her official outdoor season with double victories in the 400 and 800. You can view the finish of her 400 meters victory below in which she recorded a time of 56.91. She came back later in the day to record a new meet record in the 800 with a time of 2:11.30. That's quite impressive considering 2nd place in the race came in at 2:24.06.
