This race was quite competitive as you can see below. The only runner who was able to dip under the 50 second mark with College Park junior, Jake Heinlein, who recorded his season best mark of 49.97. He has a personal best of 49.73 from last season but this early season performance bodes well for him as he opened up his sophomore campaign last year at the same meet with a time of 52.14.
