The meet record may be in danger under the right conditions. Two of the top hurdlers in California, Jurnee Woodward Vacaville SJS (13.52w) and Kaylah Robinson El Cerrito NCS (13.52) will square off once again in a duel to determine the best hurdler in NorCal. The best young hurdler in NorCal will also compete as Jazlynn Shearer Silver Creek CCS (14.55) will attempt to keep the top two hurdlers within reach. Windy Margerum Acalanes NCS 14.54 is also in the mix and at one point was coached by the boys record holder in this meet, David Klech.
The boys' hurdle race should be quite one sided. Deion Lightfoot Kimball SJS (13.62) has no peer up north in the hurdling department and has had to take his show on the road in order to find good competition. He finished in 2nd place at both Arcadia and Mt. SAC Relays to fellow Californian and undefeated Joseph Anderson Upland SS. His only competition may be the meet record. The next best hurdlers are Adrian Aguirre Pittsburg NCS (14.31) and Shawn Bettencourt Golden Valley SJS (14.35).
