Meet Record: Los Gatos 47.49 2014
The 3rd place finishing team at last year's CCS Finals, Mitty, has the fastest entry time here with the 48.93 they ran at the Stanford Invitational. They will be challenged by their league rivals St. Francis, Mt. View which is the only other team entered in this meet under 50 seconds at 49.67. Menlo Atherton (50.03) and Mountain View (50.29) will be aiming at dipping under the 50 second mark. Section leader as well as defending section champion, Branham, will not be contesting this event.

Meet Record: Mt. Pleasant 41.15 1992
The fastest time ever recorded by a CCS team in this event is our meet record here. Mt. Pleasant ran 41.15 in 1992 which remains the all-time CCS mark. That record got a scare last year by a talented Bellarmine foursome who ran 41.37 at the CCS finals. Bellarmine has a new crew this year and will be hoping to break into the top 3 here. The favorite will be fellow WCAL team, Valley Christian SJ, a team that has recorded a season best of 42.42 and got valuable experience at the Arcadia Invitational. They will be challenged by St. Francis, Mountain View (43.18) and Archbishop Mitty (43.26) as well as the already mentioned Bellarmine team (43.33).
Added note that the top team in the section, Valley Christian SJ may be scratching their team tonight.
