Statewide Rankings by Division - Nov. 21 Update

1. Newbury Park (SS) -- Nico Young's sub-15 leads the Panthers who show no flaws.

2. Dana Hills (SS) -- Dolphins clearly used SS Prelims as workout with three runners 3-tenths apart.

3. Whitney (SJ) -- Impressive at SJS championship but 2-3 gap could hurt at State.

4. Claremont (SS) -- The Wolfpack was fourth at SS Prelims but four of the top runners passed.

5. West Torrance (SS) -- The tight pack from the Pioneer League was spread out.

6. Redlands East Valley (SS) -- Came to run in SS prelims with three in top 11 and 43 seconds gap from 1-5.

7. Thousand Oaks (SS) -- Training run with three runners two-tenths apart in a pack at SS Prelims.

8. Loyola (SS) -- Anthony Stone runs 15:09.4 with 45-second scoring gap.

9. Granada (NC) -- Got some rest before North Coast championships.

10. De La Salle (NC) -- Showdown looming with Granada.

GIRLS

1. Sacramento St. Francis (SJ) -- Placed all five runners in the Top 20 at SJS championships..

2. Simi Valley (SS) -- Won its heat comfortably in the SS Prelims.

3. Newbury Park (SS) -- Hard to know just much of an effort the Panthers exerted.

4. Serrano (SS) -- Impressive 2-5-8 to win its Heat in SS Prelims.

5. Claremont (SS) -- 20 points behind Newbury Park at SS Prelims. But it is just a qualifying meet.

6. Canyon Anaheim (SS) -- Fared about as expected finishing second to Simi Valley at SS Prelims.

7. Mountain View St. Francis (CC) -- Going 2-4-5-6-7 with a 40 second gap to win CCS title looks good.

8. Granada (NC) -- Impressive EBAL performance but what about depth?

9. Poway (SD) -- Won Palomar League over Mt. Carmel, Del Norte, Rancho Bernardo.

10. Rio American (SJ) -- Second in the SJS championships.
