Abreham McGrath and Victor Rangel, a pair of juniors from Agoura (SS), placed first and second in the 1.5-mile JV Boys race on a hot evening at the Cool Breeze Invitational at Pomona Fairplex.
McGrath covered the cross country layout in 7:52.7 with Rangel next across the line in 8:00.3.
Senior Jayson Bluemel placed third in 8:04.6 to lead the division team champion Anaheim Canyon.
