Tori Peña posted a lifetime best of 4.20 meters in the Pole Vault to lead the Bruins on Day 1 of the New Balance Invitational in New York. Her posting was good enough for second place in the event while junior Tori Anthony vaulted 4 meters to finish in seventh.In the long jump championships, senior Danielle Watson finished 6th, jumping 6.15 meters. Meanwhile, freshman Ryann Krais jumped 5.56 meters in the long jump consolations to finsih 17th.
