Sydney won the Junior race running 18:56 on the new 5K layout at Mt. SAC, beating runner-up Amber Boothby of Scotts Valley (CC) by 33 seconds.
Allie was a 21-second winner in the Senior race at the Eastbay West Regional on the new 5K layout at Mt. SAC.

Max, a senior Big Bear HS, placed 10th in 15:25 to qualify for the Eastbay National Championships in San Diego.
Kate Peters (Lake Oswego, OR) outsprinted California freshman sensation Sadie Engelhardt (Ventura, CA) to win the West Region title, running the new 5000-meter course in 17:19 to win by five seconds. CA sophomore standout Olivia Williams (Lafayette, CA) placed third in 17:26, four seconds faster than her friendly Bay Area rival, senior Sophia Nordenholz, the California State Division IV champion. Arizona champion Lauren Ping (Phoeniz) was fifth in 17:42, one second in front of Portland (OR) standout Kaiya Robertson, who was one second in front of Taylor Rohatinsky (American Fork, UT), who crossed in 17:44. California Division I champion Anna McNatt, a junior from Sacramento, was eighth (17:47), with Aishling Callanan, another junior (Rancho Palos Verdes, CA) was night 17:49, and Nelah Roberts (Idaho Falls, ID) won a close sprint to the line in 17:50 to earn the 10th and final spot on the regional team headed to San Diego on Dec. 11 for the Eastbay Nationals.
Tyrone Gorze (Central Point, OR) overtook Kenan Pala (San Diego, CA) over the last part of the 5K race to win the West Region title in 15:10, a course record for the new 5000-meter layout at Mt. San Antonio College. Pala was second (15:12) with Luke Athay (Idaho Falls, ID) third in 15:14. Charlie North (Portland, OR) and Michael Maiorano (Medford, OR) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, both in 15:16 as part of four Oregon boys to place among the top nine to qualify to represent the West Region at the Eastbay National Championships on Dec. 11 in San Diego. Davis (CA) senior Zachary Ayers placed sixth (15:17), Jefferson McMullin (Lehi,UT) was seventh (15:17), Mark Trammell (La Jolla, CA) was eighth (15:20), Caleb Lakman (Tualatin, OR) was ninth (15:24), and Max Sannes (Big Bear, CA) was 10th (15:25), rounding out the boys who will represent the West Region at the Eastbay National Championships.

Luke was third in 15:14 on the new 5K layout at Mt. SAC. He is among 10 boys who will represent the West Region at the Eastbay National Championships in San Diego.
