We'll conduct a poll every week highlighting some of California's best performances.

The California Performer of the Week poll will close at 5 p.m. PST on this Thursday, and the winner will be announced shortly after.

CANDIDATES

Keith Cotlage (Cajon)The senior from Cajon has improved just about every week in the triple jump, and at the Citrus Belt League Finals, he had the most significant breakthrough. Keith Cotage broke the 50-foot barrier with a 50-7 jump, winning the league championship to take the California lead.

Rodney Sermons (Rancho Cucamonga)After a breakout performance at the Mt. SAC Relays, Rodney Sermons hit two windy PRs at the Baseline League Finals. First, he won the 100m in 10.30 (CA No.2 all-conditions) and then the 200m in 20.88 (CA No.2 all-conditions).

Demare Dezeurn (Bishop Alemany)Every week, the sophomore from Bishop Alemany gets better and better! At the Mission League Finals, Dezeurn repeated as the 100m and 200m champion with two personal records. He ran 10.32 in the 100m (CA No.2 with legal wind) and 21.11 in the 200m (CA Top 10).

Leo Francis (Santa Margarita)There are several highlights from the Trinity League Finals, but Leo Francis out of Santa Margarita stood out from the crowd. After impressive second-place finishes in the 100m and long jump, Francis broke the 21-second barrier in the 200m to secure a big victory. His stats on the day included: 20.99 (CA No.2 in legal wind), 10.53, and 23-15.
