Quran Clayton Jr. is a standout hurdler who dipped under 40 seconds this year by making a 5.59-second improvement from last season. Clayton Jr. is a top hurdler in the 110m hurdles, but this 39.89 in the 300m hurdles is making him a much more well-rounded runner in all events.
Mateo Loo out of Mira Costa has a similar story to Clayton Jr. by making a 4.98-second improvement in the 300m hurdles compared to last season. Leo's PR is now 39.76, and he holds a couple of big wins at invitationals to start the season. The sophomore won the Redondo Invitational and Mustang Speed Invitational last month.
