California Performer Of The Week (Sept. 16-21)

It's time to vote for the California Performer of the Week!

As you know, we are coming off a weekend full of fast times and many records. 


Boys CA Performer of the Week (poll)

Maximo Zavaleta - M.L King HS - The junior ran a blazing 13:56.40 to be the #1 finisher from CA at the Woodbridge Classic. He placed 7th in the Sweepstakes race and currently leads the state in the 3-mile distance.

Bryson Caganap - Ayala HS - Only a freshman, Caganap went up against the older runners in the Sweepstakes race at the Woodbridge Classic. He clocked a 14:50.90 for the 3-mile course and is currently the fastest freshman in CA for this distance.

Camden Luecht - Rancho Bernardo HS - He placed runner-up at the Mt. Carmel Invitational down in San Diego, a meet hosted on the brutally honest Morley Field venue, home of the Footlocker XC Nationals. The senior clocked a 15:15.60 to be the #1 CA finisher at the meet.


Girls CA Performer of the Week (poll)

Rylee Blade - Santiago (Corona) HS - Clocked a new Meet Record and National Record of 15:20.30 for 3 miles at the Woodbridge Classic during the Sweepstakes race.

Chiara Dailey - La Jolla HS - Dailey pulled off a new national lead for the class of 2026 after breaking the 11th-grade meet record at the Woodbridge Classic. The junior from the San Diego Section ran a quick 15:28.20 and finished runner-up in the Sweepstakes race.

Grace Smith - Claremont HS - In her freshman year, Smith goes 16:23.70 in the Sweepstakes race at the Woodbridge Classic to be the #1 freshman at the meet and take over the national lead in the 3 mile for the class of 2028.
