Watch out for Braelyn Combe over the next few weeks.
The Santiago Corona sophomore ran her best 1,600 meter performance to date on Saturday at the CIF Southern Section Division I Finals, securing a winning time of 4:45.56 as she moved forward to the next stage of California postseason qualifying.
That performance was even faster than Ventura's Sadie Engelhardt, who won the Division 2 race in 4:46.86.
Combe followed with another win in the 800m, securing the Division I title in 2:11.01.
