This Week's Nominees:
Olivia Kirk, Calabasas (SS) (California): Won both sprints at the Marmonte League Finals, clocking 11.42 in the 100m and 23.62 in the 200m. Posted the fastest times of the week in California in both events.
Kaahliyah Lacy, San Jacinto Valley Academy (SS) (California): Swept four events at the South Valley League Championships with wins in the 100m hurdles (13.59), 100m (12.05), 300m hurdles (44.89), and 200m (25.97). Her 100m hurdles time was the fastest in the state this week.
Jaslene Massey, Aliso Niguel (SS) (California): Threw 180-5 in the discus at the South Coast League championships, also winning the shot put with a mark of 52-1.5. Her discus throw led California last week.
Olivia Smith, Cosumnes Oaks (SJ) (California): Captured the long jump title at the Delta League Championships with a leap of 19-11.5, the top mark in California this week.
Laila Kirk, Long Beach Poly (SS) (California): The freshman won the 800m at the Moore League Finals in 2:10.29, posting the second-fastest time of the week statewide. Also placed fifth in the 400m with a 57.82.
