POLL Boys Track and Field Performer of the Week

Congratulations to Brandon Arrington of Helix (SD) last week's top vote-getter for MileSplit Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Week.

Brandon, a freshman, swept the short sprints, running 10.58 (2.5) for 100m (CA No. 6 tied for all conditions), 21.29 (3.9) for 200m (CA No. 4 all-conditions), and he also anchored the winning 4x100m relay team (42.12) -- CA No. 9 -- at the 46th Mt. Carmel Invitational.

Brandon received 67 percent of the vote in a statewide poll. Carter Spradling, a junior at Clovis East (CS), was second with 19 percent.

Congratulations to all athletes whose performances warrant consideration in this weekly poll. And thanks to everyone who voted to support these amazing athletes.
