POLL Girls Track and Field Performer of the Week

Congratulations to Alyssa Hope of King (SS) last week's top vote-getter for MileSplit Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Week.

Alyssa, a senior, set state-leading marks in both the long jump (20-3.25) and triple jump (40-3), placed second in the high jump (5-6), and anchored the 4x100m relay team to a CA-leading time of 47.48 at the Mt. Carmel Invitational.

Alyssa received 62 percent of the vote in a statewide poll. Y'Vette Harris, a senior at Lincoln-Stockton (SJ), was second with 28 percent.

Congratulations to all athletes whose performances warrant consideration in this weekly poll. And thanks to everyone who voted to support these amazing athletes.

This week, we have a deep mix of seven outstanding outdoor performances from which you can choose. No easy choices, as is always the case in the ultra-competitive Golden State.

Check out the resumes below and then make sure to vote in the FanPower module at the bottom of the page. That is where you decide the top girls track and field athlete of the week.

As always, voting closes Friday at 9 p.m.
