POLL Girls Track and Field Performer of the Week

* * *

Congratulations to Marjourie Lopez, a senior at Shadow Hills (SS), last week's top vote-getter for MileSplit Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Week.

Marjourie, a senior, dropped nearly 10 seconds from her previous best in the 3000 meters, running a CA winter-leading time of 10:11.01 at the Vista Murrieta Winter Qualifier.

Lopez received 38 percent of the vote in a statewide poll. Mikaela Warr, a junior at Canyon Country Canyon (SS) was second in the voting with 23 percent of the vote, and Amirah Shaheed, a junior at Madison (SD) received 21 percent of the vote.

Congratulations to all athletes whose performance warranted consideration in last week's poll and thanks to everyone who voted.

Who's next?

Each week we will select top performers from the previous week/weekend and put them on the line for you to select the CA T&F Performer of the Week.

This week, our focus is exclusively on performances from the CA Winter Track and Field Championships held on Feb. 4 at Arcadia HS. There were so many outstanding performances that it's unfortunate we are limited to just eight options.

Check out the resumes below and then make sure to vote in the FanPower module at the bottom of the page. Here's where you decide the performer of the meet.

As always, voting closes Friday at 9 p.m.
