Congratulations to last week's top vote-getter, Eyan Turk of Woodcrest Christian (SS)!!


Turk, a sophomore, won for the sixth time in eight races and went 4-0 in October when he completed a three-race series sweep of the Small Schools League, running 15:39.06 to win by more than nine seconds on the 3-mile course at Lake Perris.
 

Turk received 60 percent of the vote in a statewide poll. Nathan Short of Folsom (SJ) was second in the voting with 14 percent of votes.

Each week we will put seven top cross country performers on the line and then leave it up to you to select the overall CA XC Runner of the Week. Our objective each week will be to select top performers from across the state.

Broen Holman (Sonora/SJ) - Broen, a sophomore, was the fastest boy on the course at the CIF-Sac Joaquin Section Sub-Sectional meet, running 14:39.50 in the Division 4 qualifier on the 3-mile course at Frogtown, Angel's Camp. 

Alexander Lodewick (Campolindo/NC) - Alexander, a senior, won the Diablo Athletic League title, running 15:25.00 to win by more than 24 seconds on the 3-mile course at Hidden Valley Park to lead his team to the title.

Evan Markelz (Mountain View/CC) - Evan, a senior, won the ECL title, running 14:51.10 on the 2.95-mile course at Crystal Springs.

Roland Ruckmann-Barnes (Granada/NC) - Roland, a senior, won the EBAL title by just 0.60 seconds, running 15:17.10 on the 3-mile course at Newhall Park to lead his team to the league title.

Micah Sanchez (Liberty Charter/SD) - Micah, a senior, was the fastest boy on the course at the Frontier Conference Finals, running 15:01.10 on the 5K course at NTC Park.

Parker Simmons (Crescenta Valley/SS) - Parker, a senior, cruised to the Pacific League title, running 14:20.90, on the 3-mile course at Arcadia County Park.

Leo Young (Newbury Park/SS) - Leo, a senior, racing for only the third time this season, won the Marmonte League title, running 14:50.87 on the 3-mile course at Agoura High to lead a 1-6 Panthers sweep.
