'22 XC RUNNER OF THE WEEK POLL
Trey Caldwell of De La Salle HS was the No. 2 sophomore at the CHAMPS Sports West Regional and the top vote-getter in our final CA Cross Country Runner of the Week poll for the 2022 season. Congratulations!!
Trey, a sophomore, was the No. 2 sophomore at the CHAMPS West Regional, running 15:34 on the 5K course at Mt. SAC, making up four key places over the final two-thirds of the race to place eighth overall and qualify to represent the region at this Saturday's national finals in San Diego.
Caldwell received 55 percent of the vote in a statewide poll. Aaron Sahlman, a senior at Newbury Park (SS), the Team Nationals boys winner, was second with 32 percent of votes.
