Congratulations to last week's top vote-getter, Aaron Cohen of West Torrance (SS)!!

Cohen, a senior, was the fastest boy at the Pacific Grove Palo Corona meet, running 16:38.20 to win by more than 13 seconds on the 5K course at Palo Corona Regional Park in Carmel-By-The-Sea.

Cohen received a whopping 45 percent of the vote in a statewide poll. Leo Young of Newbury Park (SS) was second in the voting receiving 28 percent of votes.

Each week we will put seven top cross country performers on the line and then leave it up to you to select the overall CA XC Runner of the Week. Our objective each week will be to select top performers from across the state.

Christopher Caudillo (Clovis, CS) - The senior won the Large School Division race at the Rough Rider Invitational, running 15:17.50 on the 5K course at Woodward Park in Fresno. 

Juan Chantaca (San Clemente/SS) - The senior was the fastest boy on the course at the two-day Orange County Championships, running 14:26.4 over the 3-mile course at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado. 

Eli Fitchen-Young (Santa Cruz/CC) - The sophomore rolled to victory at the Bellarmine Terry Ward Invitational, running 15:35.70 to win by more than 13 seconds on the 5K course at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale.

Micah Grossman (Ventura/SS) - The junior was a narrow winner at the Ventura County Championships, running 15:15.10 to win by 0.8 seconds on the 3-mile course at Castaic Lake. 

Jackson Hein (Pleasant Valley/NS) - The sophomore was the fastest boy on the course at the Chico Autumn Invitational, running 16:34.38 on the 5K course at Hooker Park in Chico. 

Sean Morello (Albany/NC) - The senior was the fastest boy on the course at the Phil Wilder Invitational, running 14:28.4 over the 5K layout at Hayward High School.

Joshua Razo (Walnut/SS) - The senior roared to victory at the Bell Gardens Invitational, running 14:49.07 to in by more than 27 seconds on the 3-mile course at El Dorado Park in Long Beach.
