Congratulations to last week's top vote-getter, Allura Markow of Dana Hills (SS)!!
Markow, a senior, held off a strong challenge to win her home showcase, the Dana Hills Invitational, running the iconic 3-mile DHHS campus course in 16:38.30 to win the invitational race by 1.5 seconds.
Markow received 50 percent of the votes in a statewide poll. Paige Quigley, a senior at St. Francis (SJ) was second in the voting.
Each week we will put seven athletes on the line and leave it up to you to select the overall XC Runner of the Week. Our objective each week will be to select top performers from across the state. Some weeks, like this past weekend, top invitationals may warrant multiple representatives in our top seven Runner of the Week choices.
Be sure to vote in the MileSplit Picks window below the candidate list.
