Each week we will put seven athletes on the line and leave it up to you to select the overall XC Runner of the Week. Our objective each week will be to select top performers from across the state. Some weeks, like this past weekend, top invitationals may warrant multiple representatives in our top seven Runner of the Week choices.

Sadie Engelhardt (Ventura/SS) - The sophomore ran the fastest time in the history of the 41st Woodbridge Cross Country Classic, running 15:42.60 to win the Bob Day Sweepstakes race on the new 3-mile course at Great Park in Irvine.
Brynn Garcia (JSerra/SS) - The sophomore ran the third-fastest time ever by a soph at the 41st Woodbridge Cross Country Classic, running 16:09.70 to place seventh overall while leading her team to the second-fastest time by a CA girls squad in the Bob Day Sweepstakes race on the new 3-mile course at Great Park in Irvine.
Payton Godsey (Oaks Christian/SS) - The junior set a class meet record at the 41st Woodbridge Cross Country Classic, running 15:51.90 for second place in the Bob Day Sweepstake race on the new 3-mile course at Great Park in Irvine.
Lauren Soobrian (Los Altos/CC) - The senior was the fastest girl on the course at the De La Salle Invitational, running 17:39.00 over the 3-mile course at Newhall Park in Concord.
Jaelyn Williams (Eastlake/SD) - The freshman blew away the field to win the Division 1 senior/invitational race at the Mt. Carmel Invitational, running 18:13.6 over the 3-mile layout at Morley Field in San Diego.
