Welcome back to CA XC 2022!
We are expanding this week's initial Performer of the Week poll to include the first two weekends of the '22 season. We know not all sections are up and running just yet while others have taken the line at competitive invitationals once or twice already.
Each week we will put seven athletes on the line and leave it up to you to select the overall Performer of the Week. Our objective each week will be to select top performers from across the state.
This week's candidates (listed alphabetically by last name):
Tessa Buswell (Poway/SD/Jr.) -- In her second race in as many weeks, she won the Bronco Roundup at Kit Carson Park in Escondido, running the hilly 2-mile layout in 11:37.60.
Katie Kopec (Whitney/SJ/Sr.) -- Opened her season with a victory in the Sierra Invitational at Sierra College in Rocklin, running the 2-mile layout in 12:04.10.
