Olympian Shannon Rowbury Headlines Coaches, Women's Clinic

Shannon Rowbury, a three-time U.S. Olympian and former two-time CIF-State Track and Field Champion will be the featured speaker at a clinic titled "Women's Empowerment Through Sport: Development Camp for High School Track and Field Coaches and Women Athletes."

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 6 from 8 am to 4 pm at Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep in San Francisco. 

The registration deadline is July 15

Rowbury, 37, attended Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep where she won the CIF-State title for 800 meters in 2001 and the 1600-meter title the following year. 

Rowbury, a Nike athlete, is a six-time U.S. National champion, three-time America record holder (1500m, 2 miles, 5K), two-time World Championships Bronze medalist, and a USA Olympic team qualifier in 2008, 2012, and 2016. 

She is scheduled to be joined at the clinic by Rose Monday, a three-time USA Track and Field Olympic coach.
