Alyssa Alumbres, a sophomore at Vista Murrieta (SS) swept the horizontal jumps at the Southwestern League Finals with a then-CA No. 6 tanked triple jump of 19-4.50, and 36-8.50 to win the triple jump.
For that performance, you voted Alumbres as the MileSplitCA Girls Track and Field Performer of the Week for the week ending April 30.
Alumbres received 50.77 percent of nearly 8,000 votes in a statewide poll. Hope Gordon, a senior at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame (SS), was second in the voting, receiving 18.78 percent of the vote.
