Alyssa Hope, a junior at Riverside ML King (SS), won the triple jump with a CA-leading and U.S. No. 2 wind-legal best of 40-3.25 (0.) in an impressive series that included three attempts at 39-11.50 into a 1.9 mps wind, and three attempts over 40 feet.
For that performance, you voted Hope as the MileSplitCA Girls Track and Field Performer of the Week for the week ending April 9.
Hope received 61.16 percent of nearly 27K votes in a statewide poll. Kylee Davis, a senior at Golden Valley (SS), was second in the voting, receiving 34.99 percent of the vote.
Each week we will put seven top performers from the past week on the line and let you choose the top CA Track and Field Performer of the Week.
(NOTE: Rankings are based on results in the MileSplit database as of Monday morning and are subject to change as more results are loaded into the database.)
Voting closes Friday at 9 p.m.
