The 54th edition of the Arcadia Invitational will be held Friday and Saturday with competition beginning Friday night at 5:15 p.m. 

This is a return to a full Arcadia, after the pandemic shut down the 2020 meet, and restricted 2021 to CA-only athletes. 

The 2022 version attracted interest from more than 620 schools from 29 states with 547 schools having at least one qualifying athlete. The meet bills itself as "Home of National Records" and that truth will be on full display this weekend. 

As meet director Rich Gonzalez wrote: "On 32 different occasions, a national record has been broken at the midseason classic, but this year could be extra special as the all-time lists should come under assault unlike ever before."

Yes, 2022 is absolutely loaded with the best-of-the-best of the Golden State taking on some of the elites from across the country. Expect a sizeable overhaul of state and national rankings lists by the end of the night on Saturday.
