Week six of the outdoor season produced quite a turnover in both U.S. and CA class leaders. Below is a sampling of those based on MileSplit database rankings as of Tuesday night. We sample some of the new boys and girls leaders here and then click the pages below to see six more. 

Boys New Class Leaders


Devin Bragg (Los Alamitos/sSS) 100m all-conditions freshman class leader after running 10.67 (2.4) at the Orange County Championships. 

William Isaiah Bright (Murrieta Mesa/SS) 300m hurdles freshman class leader after running 40.99 at a dual with Chaparral. 

Brandon Cheeks (Mission Bay/SD) long jump sophomore class leader after going 22-4.75 (2.1) at the Mt. Carmel Invitational. Cheeks continues to be the class leader in the triple jump at 45-11 (2.8) from the Bronco Invitational. 

Michael Danna (El Dorado/SS) triple jump freshman class leader after leaping 42-5 at the Orange County Championships. 

Nathanael DeMatto (Sierra Pacific/CS) 110mH sophomore class leader after running 15.24 (0.0) at the Lemoore Kiwanis Invitational.

Brandon Gorski (Mater Dei/SS) high jump U.S. No. 1 in the freshman class after 6-6 clearance at OC Championships. Gorski also is the CA freshman class leader in the long jump with a best of 22-7, also from OC Champs.

Ambodai Ligons (Cathedral/SS) 800m sophomore class leader after running 1:55.41 at Mt. Carmel Invitational. 

Hagop Marmarian (Marshall Fundamental/SS) shot put sophomore class leader after throwing 51-3 at the Pasadena Games. 

Khaliq Muhammad (Dublin/NC) pole vault U.S. No. 1 in the freshman class after clearing 14-3 in dual with Amador Valley.

Dontae Smith (JW North/SS) 400m freshman class leader after running 50.20 at the Mt. Carmel Track and Field Invitational. 


Girls New Class Leaders


Anisa Bowen-Fontenot (San Diego/SD) 100m hurdles freshman class leader after running 15.04 (1.8) at the Mt. Carmel Invitational.

Giselle Kirchner (Rocklin/SJ) 100m hurdles sophomore class leader after running 14.49 at a dual with Whitney.

Kayla Mc Bride (Ayala/SS) 400m sophomore class leader after running 56.35 at the Pasadena Games.

Jathiyah Muhammad (Dublin/NC) pole vault U.S. No. 1 in the class and tied for CA No. 2 overall after clearing 13-7 at the Bella Vista Bronco Distance and Pole Vault meet.

Hannah Rutherford (Mountain View/CC) 400m freshman class leader after running 56.04 at the Firebird Relays.

Amirah Shaheed (Madison/SD) 100m sophomore class leader after running 11.89 (1.2) at the Mt. Carmel Invitational. 

Keelan Wright (Vista Murrieta/SS) 200m freshman class leader after running 25.13 (1.7) at the Mt. Carmel Invitational.
