Leila Champion, a junior at Dublin (NC), won both the 100-meter dash (12.47/-1.6) and 400 meters (59.00) at the Dan Gabor Invitational at Amador Valley HS.

For that performance, you voted Champion as the MileSplitCA Girls Track and Field Performer of the Week for the week ending March 5.

Champion received 48.91 percent of more than 10K votes in a statewide poll. Takiya Cenci, a senior at Clovis North (CS), was second in the voting, receiving 41.58 percent of the vote.

Each week we will put seven top performers from the past week on the line and let you choose the top CA Track and Field Performer of the Week.

Note that rankings are based on results in the MileSplit database as of Monday morning and are subject to change as more results are loaded into the database.

Voting closes Friday at 9 p.m.
