This is a weekly series that will highlight some of the top up-and-coming young stars in the Golden State. This week our focus is on young ladies to watch heading into Saturday's CA Winter Championships presented by VSAthletics.
The meet at Arcadia HS is a culmination of a series of qualifier meets over the past six weeks and will feature the best of the best from those competitions.
This week's feature highlights five girls in either the 2025 or 2024 class who are qualified for the Winter Champs with five leading marks and five other marks that rank among the top four in their respective events.
Saturday's meet just continues the launching of these outstanding young track and field athletes that we no doubt will hear much more about as the spring outdoor season unfolds as well as in the future.
