Bella Peretti, a senior at Pioneer (CC) won the CIF-Central Coast Section Division 2 title, running 17:47.8, the fastest time of the meet over the 2.95-mile Crystal Springs course to beat Prospect (CC) freshman Kylie Hoornaert by 17.4 seconds.
In recognition of her accomplishment, Peretti was voted as CA's Girls Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending Nov. 13, receiving 50.18 percent of the vote in a statewide poll. McClatchy (SJ) junior Anna McNatt, last week's winner, was second this week with 19.28 percent of the vote.
