Bryce Gilmore, a senior at Sage Creek (SD) went out fast and finished strong in 14:13 to shatter the Dana Hills Cross Country Invitational 3-mile course record by three seconds. It was a mark that had stood since 1983. 

In recognition of his accomplishment, Bryce, who is headed to Wake Forest for college, was voted CA's Boys Cross Country Performer of the Week for the week ending Sept. 25, receiving 32.37 percent of the vote.

Harrison Dance, a senior at Saratoga (CC) was second in the voting at 25.90 percent.

Vote for this week's CA Boys Cross Country Performer of the Week based on last week's meet results through Oct. 2. Voting closes Friday at 9 p.m.
