Unless you've been living under a rock, you should know by now that California has three 14-foot vaulters this season.
Allison Leigh (right) became the second this past weekend, quickly followed by Ashley Callahan (left) in the same CIF-San Diego Section Division 1 Finals competition. Add in the U.S. high school outdoor record-holder and 2021 Olympics-trials qualifier Paige Sommers (middle), and you are witnessing a truly groundbreaking cluster of athletes - and we shouldn't forget about seniors Gabrielle Pack and Maya Grudman, who have also taken huge steps forward this season to jump in the mid-13's.
