Flash Results: Boys Individual Sweepstakes: US#16 Elias Gedyon powers through to the individual championship with a 14:35. His time, #2 on the day behind Team Sweepstakes champion Ammar Moussa. US#14 Erik Olsen finished in 5th place, 7 seconds behind Gedyon. Division II team title went to the Gedyon-led Loyola with 149 team points. Despite leading most of the race Matt McElroy fell heading into the finish but yet still managed to hang on for second place. The Division I team title went to Torrey Pines with 145 points. Grabill wins the race in 16:41. Jessica Tonn came in second. Grabill took the lead going up the switchbacks after the mile. She got a bigger lead up reservoir hill. Jessica finished in around 17:01. JV NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS: The nations Junior Varsity national championships did not disappoint as nationally ranked Trabuco Hills, Arcadia both sent squads to seek the title. However, Dana Hills would surprise with a 16:25 team average the team would claim the JV National Championship with 58 team points to Arcadia's 77. The individual championship went to Auburn Jimenez from St. John Bosco who covered the course in 15:51. In the Girls JV National Championship race Great Oak claimed the team title with a 36 team point performance. With all five scorers int he top 12 places Great Oak was paced by a 19:10 average to claim the national championship. The individual championship goes too Saugus sophomore Jenay Jauregui who traversed the 2-mile course in 18:37, a whopping 2:44 faster than last season. RACE RESULTS
