As we offered a look at the top Distance Medley Relay teams in California state history, we now move our focus over to another popular relay - the 4x800's! We have looked back at the history of each program in California and came up with the Top 50 teams when you take the top four 800-meter runners - their Dream Team - in that program's history.
Many of you will be surprised as some of the top schools will take you back to the 20th Century to get a true gauge on how successful they were!
Our top team, Livermore, recorded an incredible 2:08.56 when averaging their top four! It took an average of 2:10.96 to break our Top 10, while a 2:13.5 average was needed to break into the Top 50!
By the way, Long Beach Poly's 'B' team recorded an 8:45.24 (2:11.31 average!) which would have been our 17th fastest team.
The boys 4x800's will follow and then we are off to bring you the 4x1600's and 4x3200's - don't worry, we will also be getting to the sprints!
