Girls Recap: US#1 Saugus Makes National Statement
Picking up where they left off last year US#1 Saugus produced a truly historic effort at the Great Cow Run. Over the 3-mile course Saugus averaged 17:34. Looking closer we see a team with depth and up-front domination few have ever seen. With 2009 featuring arguably the two top teams in US history, think about that, with Saugus and Fayetteville Manlius battling head to head we should see a total team time record that is out of this world.
Led by Karis Frankian individual victory in 17:15, the team filed in; 2. Stephanie Bulder 17:17; 3. Kaylin Mahoney 17:18; 6. Merissa Kado 17:51; 9. Alex Hampton 18:13. This is an unbelievable team with tremendous potential this season.

Boys Recap: US#3 Elias Gedyon Makes Statement
After a stellar sophomore track season US#3 Elias Gedyon makes a major statement with a solo 14:26 3-mile victory, a new course record. This past spring, Gedyon clocked a 4:07 1600m, and 1:52.61 800m. The defending state champion has definitely improved from a season ago. Whether he will compete at Foot Locker, Nike Cross Nationals, or both will remain to be seen.
