I've been looking forward to this weekend all summer! With season-opening meets going on around the state this weekend, we finally have data on some of California's best teams and individuals. Of course, the heat in many parts of the state (especially the Central Valley) most likely had a big effect on many of the weekend's race, so it's best not to take too much away from any less-than-expected performances. On the other hand, runners that competed well on Friday and Saturday clearly showed that they are ready for the 2017 season.
