#2 Maddy Denner, Oak Ridge (SJS)
Oak Ridge has had a pretty good run (pun intended) of distance runners like Alex Kosinski who recorded bests of 2:07.84 and 4:38.15 in 2007. Last season, Oak Ridge led by the Denner twins (Elena and Maddy) recording an impressive victory at the Arcadia Invitational in the distance medley relay with Maddy anchoring the team to a then national leading 11:49.49. She also recorded season bests of 2:16.01 and 10:15.18 but she saved her best performance for the state Track and Field final where she won the 1600 meters in a time of 4:44.89 and doubled back to finish in 2nd place in the 3200 meters at 10:19.18.
